Little bird, BIG poop.
I have been told that it is seen as “good luck” in some cultures for a bird to drop a bomb on your head. Personally, I think it is good luck when you win the lottery or someone buys you a sandwich. A free sandwich I want. A wet juicy bird turd I can live without! If you really think about it there is nothing lucky about a bird choosing your head as its toilet bowl. It’s like saying its good luck to get hit by lightning. Plain and simple; it’s just bad luck!
When I was in grade five I had the misfortune of being “lucky.” I was enjoying my lunch break with some friends playing on the playground when BOOM! I got hit. Dead smack in the middle of the top of my head! It was embarrassing, it was messy, and it was stinky!
Kids can be so cruel and children tend to create nick names for people as the result of these kinds of embarrassing situations. Luckily for me everyone [...]

2 of my many guilty pleasures
1) Coke-a-cola : when I was younger I could wake up and drink pop with breakfast. It didn’t matter if I was eating bacon and eggs or if I was just having a bowl of raison bran; what did matter was that I had my glass of pop. It seemed to go well with everything. Like most kids I had a sweet tooth so drinking a sugar glass of fizzy liquid seemed like a great way to start my day. Plus it helped give me that extra energy I needed to build forts, play with my toy cars, or build my Lego cities. However, as time has passed my taste buds have changed. I no longer have a sweet tooth and suddenly I find myself eating peppers, avocados and any of the other green foods I once hated. Four years ago I even cut pop out of my diet. Water has become the new drink of choice for me? Why, because it is delicious, and because it is free! That being said, I crave nothing more than a nice cold can of [...]

Boogers.
It’s that time of year. The time of year I wake up scratching my eye balls, clearing my throat and blowing my nose. It’s a fun time of year. Really it is! The sun is shinning, girls start wearing shorter skirts, tinny tops, and I get to drive around with my windows rolled down! Life is good except for one thing. My allergies are out of control!
What are boogers anyways? And why are they green? Why do kids like to pick them and then eat them? I’ve always been afraid of green foods and I thought kids were too... so why are they eating these boogies? Or maybe a better question is how come I haven’t tried a boogie in a long time… maybe they are delicious. And perhaps I will finally be able to answer that famous question, “what is your favourite food.” To pick, or not to pick; that is the question
Eye drops anyone? No thanks! Even though my eyes burn and itch I am too afraid to use eye [...]

Warning!! Lemonade scam!
I was enjoying my day off this past Sunday in Victoria. Life couldn’t have been better. I was hanging out with one of my longest and oldest best friends Andrew Rose. The sun was shinning and the day was young so we decided to take a cruise downtown to grab ourselves a nice refreshing cold beverage… It was on this drive downtown that has forever changed my life and my attitude. I got scammed!
Taking a short cut into town I drove down a few residential streets. There on the corner of one of these streets was a young fellow sitting patiently at the end of his driveway with a lemonade stand. I slowly drove past and a few short seconds later decided I was going to pull over and support this kid. I had never before in my life stopped at a lemonade stand. If you think about it there are so many things that could go wrong with this type of fly by day business. Many questions ran through my brain as I walked back up [...]
