Biography

Paul Filek is a highly talented and respected Canadian singer-songwriter from Vancouver, BC. With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, Paul has become known for his soulful vocals, authentic sound, and charming presence both on and off stage.

His career highlights include national recognition as a Top 40 Canadian Idol finalist in 2007, as well as winning the People's Choice Award at the BC Interior Music Awards in 2008.

Throughout his career, Paul has shared stages with an impressive list of artists including INXS, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ziggy Marley, Styx, Trooper, Jully Black, Corb Lund, and many others. His discography includes three full-length albums and one EP, with the single Falling For You reaching #85 on the Mediabase Main AC national charts in 2011.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Paul took the opportunity to rediscover himself as a musician, spending countless hours writing, producing, and recording from his home studio. This creative renewal sparked a new chapter in his career with the release of Come Over in February 2023, his first single in over 11 years.

In 2025, Paul released Little Heart Lullaby, a deeply personal song created using the recorded heartbeat of his child while still in the womb. Released on August 28, 2025, the song captures the pure emotion of parenthood and marks one of the most meaningful moments of his musical journey.

With more new music arriving in early 2026, Paul continues to evolve as an artist while sharing his heart through every song he writes and performs.
